A part of our journey and research in mea Hawai‘i (things Hawaiian) we are studying kapa making. Reading through original Hawaiian texts and descriptions written by foreign observers, we are experimenting with the processes that are described in the early records. Samples of our work—in both traditional and modern adaptations of kapa making—are shared below.

All of these pieces are handmade in Puna, designs and colors of each will vary. Please note, the photos below are samples of the colors and designs of kapa, kapa kards and towels that we make. These unique items are made in a variety of designs. Inquire by email for more information.
